Sarah Brewer

Sarah BrewerSarah Brewer has been appointed as the new Director of System Integration, leading the Yorkshire and Humber Commissioning Collaborative for Humber Coast and Vale Health and Care Partnership; South Yorkshire and Bassetlaw Integrated Care System; West Yorkshire Health and Care Partnership and Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust.

As agreed with system partners the post will be hosted by West Yorkshire Health and Care Partnership but as outlined below will have a Yorkshire and Humber system focus.

This important role will be pivotal in continuing to build strong system wide partnerships that maximise the capacity, skills, and expertise of Yorkshire Ambulance Service as a fundamental part of all health and care systems across Yorkshire and the Humber.

Sarah is currently the Associate Director for Workforce Strategy and Planning for West Yorkshire Health and Care Partnership. She comes with a wealth of experience which includes senior strategic roles within an acute hospital provider in South-West London as well as leading national policy within NHS England.

Her early career, working in environmental management and regulation for the Environment Agency and local government, complements her current experience and partnership skills for this new role.

Sarah said:

‘I’m really excited to be taking up this important role and having the opportunity to work with the Yorkshire Ambulance Service and partners across the three integrated care systems / boards, , across Yorkshire and the Humber. My role in leading the development of a shared vision for integrated urgent and emergency care presents a real opportunity to improve the experience and outcomes for people and reduce health inequalities across all our areas. For me personally, this also marks a significant step in my leadership journey’.

Thank you to all colleagues who took part in the recruitment process. We look forward to working with Sarah when she starts in her new role in April and wish her the very best in the next step of her career. I’m sure you will have the opportunity to meet with her soon and welcome her to your health and care system.
